Tahini-Chocolate-Cookie-Stick

Chocolate Tahini Cookie Sticks

It was a very fun experience cooking with tahini for my first time. The chocolate tahini cookies smelled delicious when we took them out of the oven. I couldn’t wait to try them. They reminded of mandal bread.

This is a good cookie for beginner bakers. There are not too many ingredients. And, it takes about five minutes to mix everything together.

Have a fun time with your cooking experience. A shout out to Enjoy Life. We use your chocolate chips because they are free of dairy and allergens.

Ingredients

1/2 cup raw/pure tahini*
3 Tbsp pure maple syrup
1 large egg
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup chocolate chips

*Allergy warning: Tahini is made from sesames.

instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees f. and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or silicone baking mat.
  2. Whisk together the tahini, maple syrup, egg, vanilla extract, and baking soda in a bowl. Fold in the chocolate chips and give a final mix.
  3. Pour into a long log shape on the baking sheet. Use a spatula to shape the dough. Don’t worry if the dough is flat. It will rise up.
  4. Bake for 15 minutes (longer if you want crunchier).
  5. Remove from oven and slice into sticks while you set aside to cool.
